Will this fix it?

Every week the world hands us a new fix. A new framework, a new tool, a new bestseller, a new three-letter acronym that will finally sort out your team, your company and possibly your marriage.

We take one, put it on the table and ask the only question that matters: will this fix it? Sometimes the answer is yes. Usually it is "partly, and not the part you were hoping for". Either way the conversation is worth your commute.

  • One idea, book or buzzword per episode
  • No jargon bingo, no sponsored enthusiasm
  • Listen to it, or watch it. Your call.
2 grumpy old dudes?

Rik and Bernard. Between them: a few decades of boardrooms, classrooms, deadlines, launches and bad coffee.

Grumpy is not the same as cynical. We are still curious, we have simply stopped being impressed on command. That combination turns out to be a decent filter for whether an idea actually holds up once you take it out of the keynote.

Rik

Rik

Still wants to believe the new thing might work, and reads the whole book before saying so.

Bernard

Bernard

Has seen this idea before, under a different name, in 2004. And in 1994.
